Glenda Jarrett
I am a self-taught, traditional, realistic artist. My work portrays the many different facets and extremities of wilderness and wildlife inspired by New Zealand's beautiful land and seascapes. My finely detailed oil paintings are vibrant and crisp, capturing the true colours and essence of the heart of bush. This is a personal passion and reflecting these inspired feelings to the viewer my greatest objective.
I am a versatile artist and although my preferred medium is oil paints, I have also been known to paint in acrylics, completing and selling floral artwork to abstract paintings.
After spending the past sixteen years raising my three children on my own, I am finally at a point where I can concentrate on being a full time artist.
Personal encouragement and support has been by some of New Zealand's well known professional artists such as Rei Hamon, Graham Braddock and Randall Froude. I have exhibited in many National Exhibitions along side top renowned New Zealand Artists, such as Binkley, O'Gorman and Ivan Clarke and am in constant demand to participate in many other exhibitions.
My goal to have my own art gallery, gardens and workshop on my property, is underway. Here I wish to create a unique atmosphere for local, national and international art lovers and collectors.
